Elements of danger
Tanzanite and iolite come together for an electrifying effect!
They told us not to mix lightning and water. We told them to stand back—this could get dangerous. After some careful calibration, we've got the mix just right. Tanzanite, called the greatest gemstone find of the last 100 years, was discovered after a lightning bolt cracked the sky and set the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro ablaze, revealing the violet treasures hidden below the surface.
Meanwhile, iolite has been around for thousands of years in many different shades, but when cut carefully and correctly, it delivers a deep, violet-blue hue.
We call it the Tanzanite Fusion Ring, because it combines the Earthly powers of lightning and water to form a ring of heavenly beauty. Eight individual tanzanite stones, weighing a total of 1 1/5 total carats, give a powerful electric glow to the middle two bands. These tanzanite stones are flanked by 14 expertly-cut iolite stones in violet-blue, allowing the bright violet of the tanzanite and the violet-blue of the iolite to spark off of each other with just a hint of danger. The stones are grounded in a genuine .925 sterling silver setting, and can be yours for a price that's only truly dangerous if you're an old-fashioned jewelry store, unable to match the defiant affordability of luxury that Stauer offers.
