Once upon a time, there was a tropical island unknown to most of civilization. Legend tells of the day that a tall ship appeared out of the setting sun and dropped anchor in the island’s blue, fairytale lagoon. The captain stepped ashore. She wore a tattered, tri-cornered hat upon her head of flamered tresses, with a cutlass at her belt of rope. She came looking for plunder, seeking treasures undreamt of by the likes of her scurvy crew. But what this pirate beauty found changed the luxury world forever.
There, in the island’s marketplace, beneath a canopy of sun-bleached silks, she found pearls that seemed of another world. They were strange and misshapen, but so unique and wondrous in the way that they captured the rainbow in their sheen. Using her “flintlock pistol discount,” she took them all.
You won’t have to pillage to take home our Baroque Pearl Necklace. We’ve used our non-pirate South Seas connections to create a spectacular piece of jewelry that showcases the otherworldly beauty of the legendary black pearl. Each shimmering, free form pearl is a work of art in and of itself. But strung together it’s a masterpiece.
When it comes to the history of pirates roaming the high seas, the line between fact and fiction is as blurry as the view through a bottle of Caribbean rum. But the beauty of these pearls is no myth. 13mm-18mm baroque pearls. 18 ½" plus 2" extender and sterling silver clasp.
