In my younger days, I was a bit of a backpacking fanatic. Any chance I got, I’d pick a point on a map, strap on my pack, and head off in search of adventure. On more than a few occasions, I bit off more than I could chew.
One of my more memorable misadventures occurred in southern India. Lost and hungry in the jungle an hour after dusk, I was disturbed to hear a low rumbling sound fill the jungle canopy. I hoped it was just my stomach, but soon learned that it was actually an exceptionally large Bengal tiger just a few yards ahead of me. It seemed he was hungry too.
Even before I could get scared, a shot rang out, and the tiger reversed course. Holding a long gun, my savior introduced him-self and invited me to his home for dinner. Over the meal, Rahul explained that his family oversaw the area’s mining operations, and that their sapphires were his pride and joy. Years later, Rahul is help-ing me again by providing me his very best gemstones.
Ladies and gentlemen, meet the Bengal Blues Sapphire Necklace, a study in cerulean that would even stop a 500-pound jungle cat in his tracks. We’ve showcased a whopping 50 total carats of sapphires, gently enhanced for ultimate luster, in a sterling silver finished necklace for a big look and then gave it a diminutive price. A steal of a deal – and you don’t even have to risk becoming a tiger’s lunch to acquire it.
