The allure of black diamonds is undeniable. They are elegant and mysterious with “I dare you to ignore me” edge. Perhaps they remind you of someone you know. Th is collection celebrates both the daring and angelic sides of your femme fatale with the unconventional black diamond in beautiful halo settings spar-kling with the oldest stone on earth––white zircon.
Black diamonds were not formed on the earth, or even under it. In 2006, two scientists determined that the only way black diamonds could have formed was in interstellar supernova explo-sions, billions of years ago and light years away. Th e resulting giant black diamond meteorite collided with earth some 4 billion years ago. Th is theory is supported by high levels of hydrogen detected in black diamonds, which would not be possible if black diamonds formed under the earth like white diamonds.
Here, we’ve arranged these interstellar daredevils in rose-gold finished sterling silver surrounded by stars of sparkling white zircon rounds to create a collection of intergalactic proportions. And, the price? Well, we think you’ll fi nd it to be quite nice.
