Following the sudden and amazing display of nature’s power that was the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens in the Pacific Northwest, something unexpected and beautiful was discovered. A brilliant creation was produced from the heated volcanic rock dust. Named “helenite” after the mountain from which it was born. Originally, helenite was only available in green. However, we’ve discovered that the addition and subtraction of trace minerals like chromium, titanium and gold creates a rich deep red that flickers with a fire similar to the world’s finest rubies from Myanmar.
We transformed this impressive display of Mother Nature’s raw power into a romantic and refined expression of love. The Fancy Cut Red Helenite and Diamond Ring absolutely erupts with explosive red. Set in the finest .925 sterling silver covered in yellow gold, the stone flashes and flickers in radiant glory, echoing its dramatic origins.
