Starting in 1885, the Czar made only one request: surprise the Empress every Easter and make certain that this year’s masterpiece was more beautiful than the last. Each Imperial Egg took a team of talented artists a full 12 months to design, plan and fabricate. The Master recruited the best goldsmiths, enamelers, silversmiths, jewelers and stonecutters in the world. He inspired them to push their creativity and skill far beyond where they had gone before. He inspired us as well.
