If there’s one thing I’ve learned from years spent circling the globe in search of the next big thing, it’s that you can’t make all of your decisions sitting behind a desk. So when, out of the blue, I got a phone call from an old friend inviting me to New York for an underground fashion show, I was booking my ticket before the call even ended.
