Worsted is a high-quality type of wool yarn that derives its name from the English village of Worstead. Worsted is renowned for its strength, and durability. Donegal lambswool is taken from the first shearing of a sheep, taking place at about the age of 7 months. This wool is soft and elastic, and used in high-grade products.
