Reports of Damascus steel’s unmatched strength, sharpness and durability ring through the ages. There are stories of gun rifles being sliced in two by Damascus steel swords and individual strands of hair being sliced in half, even if they gently floated down on to the edge of the blade. Made from a mix of steel alloys and carbons, the ancient production technique gave Damascus steel a rippled, wavy texture that became its most identifiable feature.
The Legend Knife is a 3 ½" blade of modern Damascus steel, inspired by the stories and production techniques of old. Made from a mix of steel alloys and featuring the identifiable Damascus steel pattern, the blade folds into a pakkawood handle, which is made from a form of specially strengthened and water resistant wood. When folded out and locked in shape, the Legend is 7 ¾" in length. When folded away it slips neatly inside the accompanying leather pouch. At this price, the blade of Damascus steel is a steal.
