You can’t get this stone, they said. It’s too rare and hard to find, they said. Well, we showed them. Here at Stauer, we pride ourselves on being able to track down the rare, the exceptional and the exotic, but this gemstone proved to be one of our most difficult acquisitions yet. It’s called Arizona wild horse, an exceedingly scarce stone that’s as renowned for its beauty as its rarity. First discovered in the mid-’90s near the Globe copper mine in southern Arizona’s Gila wilderness area, Arizona wild horse can only be found one place on Earth.
If that didn’t make it rare enough, the only mine that provides wild horse closed just a few years after it opened, meaning that the only way to access this gem is by finding an existing stash somewhere. After years of searching, we finally were able to locate some Arizona wild horse and can now offer you this: the Men’s Arizona Wild Horse Ring. Here, we’ve set a whopping 9-1/2-carat cabochon of this sensational stone in .925 sterling silver adorned with some beautiful metalwork and an oxidized finish.
