The artisans on the tiny Venetian island of Murano have been cooking up timelessly beautiful pieces since the year 1291. It was the extreme temperatures of their ovens that necessitated the craftsmen to be moved to Murano Island, a safe distance from the palazzos of Venice. Can’t say we blame them, as the temperature needed to fuse and create Murano glass is from 2190° to 2552° Fahrenheit!
Looking at the frosty, shimmering strands that make up the Murano Frost Bracelet, it’s hard to believe such cool beauty has such blazing hot origins. The Murano Frost Collection was created on Venice’s famed isle using traditional 13th century techniques, with each tiny bead handformed over scorching flames. Once the beads cool, they are hand-strung into luxurious silvery strands and then twisted into elegant torsades. And, while these pieces are undeniably cool, they have an exclusive Stauer price that’s hot enough to give those Venetian ovens a run for their money.
