The inspiration for our latest Murano glass jewelry collection came from the headquarters of Stauer’s office in Arezzo, Italy.
That office, housed in a building that predates the Renaissance, is surrounded by Sangiovese grape vines. Sangiovese, which is the main varietal found in Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino, has a flavor profile of red cherries, tea leaves and earthy aromas. These grapes led Daniele, the head of our Italian office, to ask our favorite artisan glassmakers in Murano to craft jewelry in their image. The result is our Sangiovese Murano Earrings, jewelry that stars authentic Murano glass.
Off the coast of Venice lies the island of Murano, the place where an elite community of creators has set the world standard for glassmaking for more than 700 years. And because of Stauer’s longstanding connections with Murano’s artisans and the fact that we’re one of the world’s largest purchasers of Murano glass, we can offer you a substantial savings on these works of art made from authentic Murano glass.
