When the door first opens, it feels like opening a fridge door on a hot summer day. The rush of wind is loud, you feel the temperature and pressure change, and before you know it, you’re out the door. Strangely, your body feels supported by the wind, like when you stick your palm out of a car window while you’re driving.
“Jumping out of perfectly good airplanes,” is what my Uncle John, a retired Naval aviator, calls skydiving. The man has his jokes. “No drinking within 50 feet of the plane, no smoking within 24 hours of the flight,” is one of his fake pilot rules.
Having had to ditch a few less-than-perfect planes as a Navy test pilot, John knew his stuff. Which is why I asked him which watch should accompany me on this particular adventure.
His answer? The Swiss Paratrooper Chronograph. Made in Switzerland, this timepiece sports a blue dial to reflect the sky, metallic subdials, and a Swiss chronograph movement to ensure that you always have all the time you need.
As you know, Swiss-made watches are renowned for their durability. In 1971, rules were established mandating that any timepiece bearing the “Swiss-made” hallmark must have their mechanics, casing, and final inspection take place in Switzerland. Through the use of surgical steel, Swiss watches are built to last several lifetimes.
But best of all is the price. While our competitors are charging thousands for their Swiss-made watches, we’re charging a fraction of that price. Because we’ve been in the business so long and sold nearly 3 million watches, we know how to get you a Swiss-made watch at a price that those other guys can only dream of.
